Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Steens Mountains. You get a brilliant sight of Moon Hill from Ham Brown Lake; a short journey to Mud Spring is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Thompson Reservoir is close by; camping is available at Fish Lake Campground.       For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Ham Brown Lake reach the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the winter the highs are usually in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Ham Brown Lake. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Burns is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. The Steens Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
