     Halls Lake is located in the Blue Mountains. Looking for something close to Halls Lake? Canyon City Reservoir is in close proximity, and Best Western John Day Inn is a good location to get some rest. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The Blue Mountains is unbeatable! A great spot close to Halls Lake is Gand Saddle; hiking is a popular thing to do around Halls Lake; Berry Creek Trail is a good local trail.
You absolutely have to fancy Halls Lake.
 
   You'll need more than a day to discover everything Halls Lake has to offer, you can camp at Clyde Holliday; splendid hiking is available along the Canyon Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Green Mountain is easily seen from Halls Lake, and Birch Spring is always fun to check out. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the Blue Mountains has to offer. There's so much to do here at Halls Lake that you need to camp here for  
               a while, Ray Cole Campground is a pleasant spot for that, and there's fine hiking along the Joaquin Miller Trail.
Around Halls Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Halls Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are typically in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Halls Lake.
