     This is a popular place for people from La Grande; you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Twin Lakes Trail. Haines Pond Number One is pretty dried out mostly; during January this area sees the most snow, and the driest month is July. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Baker City. Lakes? Sure, Toney Reservoir is close at hand. If you came to camp Baker RV Park is a wonderful place to do that, and going for a hike along the Rock Creek Lake Trail  
   will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
All through the summertime at Haines Pond Number One highs are ordinarily in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's.
