Why not camp at Clyde Holliday if you're here at H S Johnson Reservoir. Through the days of summer highs here at H S Johnson Reservoir reach the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 40's. The winter brings highs       down to the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for H S Johnson Reservoir. Going for a hike on the Fawn Spring Trail is always a good adventure, and a lake nearby is Bull Run Reservoir. Man, is there lots of exciting stuff to do in the Blue Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western John Day Inn, and if you would like a little side journey, try Thompson Gulch. You absolutely have to go for the Blue Mountains. Don't leave H S Johnson Reservoir                  without first paying a visit to Big Glade Spring, and a great location to camp here at H S Johnson Reservoir is Ray Cole Campground. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can check out H S Johnson Dam, and there are nice places to look at along the Berry Creek Trail. H S Johnson Reservoir gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls through November while July is commonly the driest month. If only every place had this much outdoors fun things, what a great earth it would be.
