     Gygi and Engle Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Fir Ridge Camp Grounds is a great local campground, and if you're popping by from Corvallis, you won't be the only one. If you need a location to stay Harrison House Bed and Breakfast is a magnificent choice. That right there is heaps of fun things already but it goes on, the Coast Ranges has it all. Why not camp at Big Elk Campground while you're here at Gygi and Engle Reservoir,  
   and get yourself into a kayak and hit Alsea River - South Fork.
Banton Creek is near Gygi and Engle Reservoir and is always a joy to stop by; get dripping wet paddling on Alsea River - North Fork. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. During the warm days of summer highs here at Gygi and Engle Reservoir reach the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. During the winter the highs are typically in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the
 
               wintertime at Gygi and Engle Reservoir temperatures fall to the 30's.
Gygi and Engle Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically December, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is July.
