    Gygi and Engle Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Just can't get enough of the Coast Ranges. A nice location for whitewater paddling near Gygi and Engle Reservoir is Alsea River - South Fork. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Gygi and Engle Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Fir Ridge Camp Grounds. Dry warm beds await you at Hilton Garden Inn, and this is a popular site for folks from Corvallis. If  
   only every place had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great globe it would be.
This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Alsea River - North Fork in the neighborhood of Gygi and Engle Reservoir; some of the water close by flows, like Banton Creek. All through the summertime months at Gygi and Engle Reservoir highs are commonly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the
 
               40's while Gygi and Engle Reservoir night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. After a long day outdoors Galaxie Motel is a brilliant place to spend a night or two; Gygi and Engle Reservoir is a splendid place to camp, Big Elk Campground is a splendid place.
The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. Gygi and Engle Reservoir is a wet place that gets a large amount of precipitation; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
