The beauty of Guiles Lake attracts many people from all around. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lewis River - East Fork. This lake is so wonderful. People from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton love to come to Guiles Lake, and Sauvie Cove Store and RV Park is a magnificent campground nearby. A beautiful lake like Petes Slough Reservoir near Guiles Lake is a great place to stop at, and Guiles Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Reeder Beach RV Park is a good spot to camp nearby. Throughout the summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Guiles Lake, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 40's with winter
lows in the 30's overnight here at Guiles Lake. Looking for some flowing water? Try Dairy Creek, and since you're here, do take a spree to North Arm. Just can't get enough of Guiles Lake. Enjoy a round of golf at Pine Crest Golf Course

Sturgeon Lake is a GREAT place to fish at on Sauvie Island. For exsample, There are WARM WATER SPECIES like: CATFISH, BASS, PANFISH, PERCH, WALLEYE & LOT MORE! There are COLD WATER SPECIES in the lake too, like: Trout. It is VERY BEAUTIFUL ESPECALLY IN FALL.... |

*WARNING* Lewisville Pk to DayBreak on July 2, 2009. Water very low and very rocky using tubes and raft. Had to get out often and dislodge from rocks or walk over river rock. Had to walk from 1/4 sign to Daybreak all the way out and was VERY UNHAPPY. Walk was actually about a mile to parking area over river rock and then very narrow trail. Trails not marked if you have to get out and walk because water was TOO low (only a few inches deep). Would have appreciated uptodate info at booth at Lewisville entrance. Was told rafting was fine to Daybreak. Trip took 5.5 hours and was told it would take 2.5.... |
