Grier Reservoir is a good spot of normal rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. While you're here at Grier Reservoir, you could also pop by lovely Barnes Reservoir, and if you need       a place to stay Oregon Garden Resort is a great choice. There's so much to do here at Grier Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Silver Spur RV Park is a good spot for that, and you can run the rapids of Silver Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Butte Creek is a nice whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Grier Reservoir; Grier Reservoir is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Silver Falls Conference Center is a tremendous local campground.                  If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop by Barnes Brothers Reservoir Dam, and you're sure to run into some friendly folks from Salem here.
