    In Oregon there are many beautiful lakes, Greenwater Reservoir is one of them. And that's not all you can do here at Greenwater Reservoir. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Greenwater Reservoir; Black Canyon Trail is a wonderful local trail, and Blue Spring is a pretty place to pop by while you're at Greenwater Reservoir. Just can't get enough of the Blue Mountains. Fish House Inn is a brilliant campground here, and John Day Fossil Beds National Monument  
   is a magnificent site close by. Summer at Greenwater Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Greenwater Reservoir are in the 10's.
Good hiking is available along the South Prong Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Pine Tree Campground is a fine spot to camp.
 
               And that's not all there is to do here in the Blue Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Coffeepot Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Fish House Inn. From Greenwater Reservoir you acquire a nice view of Spur Butte, and since you're here at Greenwater Reservoir it's a great idea to go to Cinnabar Flat.
Greenwater Reservoir is located in the Blue Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little spree to Cougar Creek while you're here at Greenwater Reservoir, and you'll discover a scenic lake called Coyote Reservoir.
Greenwater Reservoir is pretty dried up mostly; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
