     Yep, outdoors cool things to do are truly abundant here at Greenwater Reservoir. There's nice hiking along the Coffeepot Trail, and the panorama of Spur Butte is charming. Do pay a visit to John Day Fossil Beds National Monument since you're here at Greenwater Reservoir; if you're here, you could also take a look at picturesque Elk Reservoir. Greenwater Reservoir is located in the Blue Mountains.
There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Blue
 
   Mountains. Don't leave Greenwater Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Black Canyon Trail, and Blue Spring is a charming place to go to while you're at Greenwater Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Not much precipitation falls here at Greenwater Reservoir; November is the month that gets the most rain, and September on the other hand is the driest.

High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Greenwater Reservoir during the wintertime usually descend into the 10's.
