This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. You can run the rapids of Santiam River - Middle near Green Peter Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Green Peter Lake; Crabtree Lake Trail is a splendid local trail. Good hiking is available along the Snow Peak Mill City Trail; a brilliant place for whitewater paddling is Wiley Creek. This       lake is so wonderful. Big Alder Creek flows through this area, and why not camp at Foster Lake Campground if you're here at Green Peter Lake. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. Green Peter Dam is a lovely place in close proximity to Green Peter Lake, and Green Peter Lake is not far at all from Albany-Lebanon. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are in fact bountiful here at Green Peter Lake. A fine site to camp here at Green Peter                  Lake is Menears Bend Campground; why not take a refreshing hike along the Michigan Heights Trail. Yep, outdoors fun stuff truly is bountiful here in the Central Cascade Range. Sweet Home Inn is a great site to get some rest, and if you need a location to stay Sun Motel is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Green Peter Lake is a pretty wet place regularly with a good deal of rainfall; all through December this area sees the most rain; the driest month is July. During the months of summer at Green Peter Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.
