Green Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Cascade Range. All the water falling down from the sky makes Green Lake a wet site; the month with most of the rain is December while July is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Mt. Hood Meadows close at hand. Lakes? Sure, Twin Lakes is around here. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Catalpa Lake. | | can take a hike along the Umbrella Falls Trail, and Whispering Woods (Vri) is a tremendous spot to get some rest. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on White River; going for a hike along the Bonney Meadows Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. by Timberline Lodge, and Green Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Lower Twin Campground is a wonderful local campground. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. If you need a place to stay Mount Hood
Inn is a good choice, and the nice folks of Hood River like to hang out close by. For the period of the long summer days at Green Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. Throughout
the winter highs are usually in the 40's, and night lows at Green Lake during the wintertime typically drop into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Hood River - Lake Branch has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby, and
a great spot to camp here at Green Lake is White River Park Campground. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Green Lake. If the weather is great here at Green Lake, you can go for a hike along the Boulder Lake Way Trail, and Frog Lake Buttes is easy to spot from Green Lake.
