High temperatures at Grassy Pond throughout the warm months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Grassy Pond. A pleasant visit to McKee Basin is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon; going for a hike on the South Fork Trail is always a delightful adventure. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rogue       River - North Fork, and there are magnificent sites to explore along the Blue Canyon Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at Grassy Pond is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during November while July is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Beal Lake is in close proximity; don't leave Grassy Pond without first going for a hike along the Cat Hill Way.
