    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Granite Street Reservoir. During the warm months, highs commonly are in the 90's at Granite Street Reservoir, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Granite Street Reservoir dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. After a long day outdoors Best Western Bard's Inn is a delightful place to spend a night or two, and camping  
   is available at Regency Inn and RV. Granite Street Reservoir gets very little rain; during the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July.
What a site this is for outdoors people. Go for a hike on the Copper Trail; the cheerful people of Medford like to hang out close by. The Siskiyou Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can pop by Reeder Gulch
 
               Dam; if you came for an overnight stay Jackson wellsprings is a fine location to camp.
Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Siskiyou Mountains. There are pleasant sites to explore along the Mount Ashland Trail, and a round of golf at nearby Oak Knoll Golf Club is a perfect way to kill some time. The skiing at Mt. Ashland is delightful; Danns Spring is a wonderful site to pop by while you're at Granite Street Reservoir. Don't leave Granite Street Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Bear Creek Trail, and you'll hit upon a pretty lake called Lower Reservoir.
Granite Street Reservoir really is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Ashland Springs Hotel is a tremendous site to get some rest; get yourself into a kayak and hit Klamath River. All year is a delightful time in the Siskiyou Mountains if you go for the outdoors. The peak of Ropers Bunion can be distinguished from Granite Street Reservoir, and since you're here, you could also visit scenic Crowson Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Jemmison Gulch is a great place to have a look at in close proximity to Granite Street Reservoir; naturally Ashland Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit.
So much entertaining stuff in the Siskiyou Mountains, just extraordinary.

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
