This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! Gosling Lakes rules! Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Christy Creek, and going for a hike on the Winchester Trail is always a glorious adventure. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Willamette Pass is close to Gosling Lakes.       A tremendous nearby hotel is Best Western Oakridge Inn, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on McKenzie River - South Fork. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Swan Lake, and Waldo Meadows is a great place to check out. All through the days of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Gosling Lakes with night lows in the 40's. Daytime highs through the                  wintertime are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Gosling Lakes are in the 20's. Good hiking is available along the Cupit Mary Meadow Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Shelter Cove Resort is a good location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Salmon Creek Trail, and camping is available at Twin Springs Campground. Gosling Lakes sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Central Cascade Range.
