And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do in the neighborhood of Gordon Lakes. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Gordon Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Mt Vernon Motel and Trailer Park, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Davis Trail. High temperatures at Gordon Lakes through the months of summer are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. The       wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Gordon Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are fine sites to take a look at, and John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is no exception, and you might also want to pay a visit to Gibson Gulch while you're here at Gordon Lakes. It is very dehydrated here at Gordon Lakes ordinarily; most of the rain falls through November, and the driest month of the year is July.                  Gordon Creek flows through this area; if you've had enough of Gordon Lakes, Hines Log Pond is close by. A golf course next to Gordon Lakes is John Day Golf Club, and going for a hike along the High Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Gordon Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Blue Mountains. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Blue Mountains rules! There's so much to do here at Gordon Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Clyde Holliday is a wonderful site for that, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Sulphur Creek Trail. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more cool things to do here in the Blue Mountains. From Gordon Lakes you acquire a great view of Gibson Hill, of course you could also stop by Herburger Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful.
