You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Goldeneye Lake. Camping is available at Upper Campground; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Deschutes River. A great site to camp here at Goldeneye Lake is East Lake Resort and RV Parks; hiking along the Lake Way is brilliant fun. | | beautiful lake called Leech Lake near Goldeneye Lake; you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Mink Lake Loop Trail. Mt. Bachelor is a very popular ski area close at hand, and Goldeneye Lake is right by the Senoj Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Do have a look at Senoj Lake in close proximity to Goldeneye Lake, it's a picturesque lake, and from Goldeneye Lake you obtain a magnificent view of Lucky Butte. The Central Cascade Range scenery | |

is always beautiful. All year is a nice time in the Central Cascade Range if you fancy the outdoors. Head up to Willamette Pass and strap some skis to your feet. Lots of precipitation falls at Goldeneye Lake; December is the wettest
month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime at Goldeneye Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. Daytime highs
through the winter are in the 30's; overnight lows at Goldeneye Lake during the wintertime ordinarily drop into the 20's.

Winopee Lake
 | Went to Winopee lake this weekend...it was a little dissapointing because the lake is about 45% covered with reeds and lilly pads. The Eastern shore is the only one you can accesst the water without having to wade through reeds. There is quite a few algae blooms so swimming isn't an option. Overall, the view was nice but not spectacular. There are three decent campsites at the lake, popular with horse camps. The best of the three sites is the one on the Eastern bank, take the first trail you come accross before reaching the junction for sno-shoe lake. The second and third campsites are on the West bank and are a little harder to find...head for the clifs and you are there.... |

Davis Lake
 | 15 miles away This website needs updating. I was there on Aug. 2nd,3rd, and 4th 2007. There are a LOT of bass there. We saw NO trout at all, and no one we talked to had caught or seen one. I was there with 2 others for bass fishing. there is no camping at the west boat launch area. Day use only. There are 2 camp sites on the east side. The Lava Flow site is closed, and has been for some time. There is a primative site there. No water or elec. and very primative boat launching area. You have to pole or row through the tules to get out on the lake. The old campground is closed because of Eagles nest there. Eagles are no longer on the endangerd spieces list. Why not re-open that area. it has a great boat ramp. Bass fishing was great, but not many large fish when we were there. Lots of smaller bass. We were told it was real good in late June and first half of July. We will try again next year.... |
