There's no way someone can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. No need to travel far to pop by attention-grabbing stuff like Eagle Rock, and Shelter Cove Resort is a good campground nearby. Gold Lake is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Twin Springs Campground is a magnificent location to camp nearby. Lakes are glorious; Marilyn Lakes is a lake that's near       Gold Lake. High temperatures at Gold Lake through the summertime are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 40's. Highs all through the wintertime are frequently in the 40's; night lows all through the winter for Gold Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is perfect here at Gold Lake, you can go for a hike along the Mount Ray Trail; if you need a location to stay Best Western Oakridge Inn is a glorious choice.                  This place is great, just check out all the exciting things to do near Gold Lake. You can never get enough of the splendid skiing at Willamette Pass, and naturally, this is a nice vicinity for folks who like lakes, Upper Marilyn Lake is a lake nearby. The Island Lake Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close to Gold Lake, and the view of Mount Ray is picturesque. Gold Lake is a wet spot that gets a great deal of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here; July is the month with the least moisture. So many exciting things to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. Swamps are interesting places and Gold Lake Bog next to Gold Lake is no exception, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Gold Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
