It's always fun to stop by Gold Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Willamette Pass. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Central Cascade Range has to offer. The panorama of pretty Mount Ray near Gold Lake is tremendous, and Willamette Pass is a splendid site to go to. If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great globe it would be. Don't leave

| | Gold Lake without first checking out Eagle Rock, and the Island Lake Trail offers hiking at its best.
Gold Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range. Gold Lake gets a good deal of water; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. There's some flowing water nearby, Full Creek is a stream you can stop by while here, and do explore Jo Ann Lake, it's a wonderful lake.

Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Gold Lake, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course, commonly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows through the winter for Gold Lake tend to be in the
20's. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Central Cascade Range is so good! After a long day outdoors Woodsman Country Lodge is a perfect place to spend a night or two, and Gold Lake is good enough to spend more than a day
at, Shelter Cove Resort is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. There's pleasant hiking along the Mount Ray Trail, and camping at Twin Springs Campground is always a brilliant experience.
Don't leave Gold Lake without first going for a hike along the Gold Lake Trail; check out close by Gold Lake Bog.
