It's always fun to stop by Gilson Pond. That right there is plenty of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Blue Mountains has it all. If you came for an overnight stay Trough Creek Campground is a great site to camp. While you're here at Gilson Pond, you could also have a look at striking Rush Pond; drift down the rapids of John Day River - North Fork in a kayak. So much entertaining stuff to do at Gilson Pond, so little time. Gilson Pond is right by

| | the Peep Creek Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Antlers Inn.
Through the summertime at Gilson Pond highs are frequently in the 80's; the night is a tad colder of course, frequently in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Gilson Pond dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. July. Gilson Pond is located in the Blue Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Barnes Creek, and Meadow Brook Summit is also a splendid location to look at. Be careful coming to the Blue
Mountains, you might not ever want to go home again. Hiking along the Sulphur Creek Trail is tremendous fun, and why not camp at Meadowbrook Lodge and Overnight Park since you're here at Gilson Pond. Why not take a refreshing hike
along the Bear Camp Trail; after a long day outdoors Long Creek Lodge is a nice place to spend a night or two.
