There's so much to do here at Gilchrist Log Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Crescent RV Park is a delightful spot for that, and you can run the rapids of Deschutes River. Summer brings highs in the       70's to Gilchrist Log Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Gilchrist Log Pond. Near Gilchrist Log Pond you stumble on the Moore Creek Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail; there are other spots here than Gilchrist Log Pond, for example Gilchrist Reservoir.
