Giebeler Lake is a pretty wet place ordinarily with a great deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is frequently December, that's the one that rains the most, and July is the month with the least moisture. Camping is available at B and B Rentals, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Twin Lakes Trail. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range.       Head up to Hoodoo and strap some skis to your feet; Battle Ax is trouble-free to spot from Giebeler Lake. Summertime highs at Giebeler Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Giebeler Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. If you came for an overnight stay Detroit Lake State Park is a tremendous spot to camp, and there's delightful hiking along the Beachie Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The French Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Breitenbush River. A splendid site in the neighborhood of Giebeler Lake is Beachie Saddle, and get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Santiam River - North.
