     Oregon has many beautiful lakes and Gates Reservoir is one of them. This lake is located in the wonderful Southern Cascade Range. So many exciting things to do here at Gates Reservoir, too splendid to be true. Eagle Trailer Park is a great campground nearby, and Super 8 Motel Medford OR is a magnificent place to get some rest. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Southern Cascade Range is so good! You could also visit Hamel Reservoir Number 2  
   if you're here at Gates Reservoir; it's close by; why not take a refreshing hike along the Tison Trail.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Gates Reservoir; Chicago Trail is a good local trail; if you've had enough of Gates Reservoir, Todd Reservoir is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Why not explore nearby Dry Creek since you're here at Gates Reservoir; you can stay the night at Fly Casters RV Park. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even
 
               more cool stuff to do here in the Southern Cascade Range. The Alco Trail offers hiking at its best; the top of Long Mountain is easily distinguished from Gates Reservoir.
This lake is so wonderful. At Gates Reservoir you always meet someone from Medford; a round of golf at nearby Eagle Point Golf Course is a good way to kill some time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rogue River, and a splendid nearby hotel is La Quinta Inn Suites White City. For the period of the warm months, highs usually are in the 80's at Gates Reservoir. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Gates Reservoir dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
The annual rainfall here at Gates Reservoir is about average; the wettest month of the year is generally December, that's the one that rains the most while July is ordinarily the driest month. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Big Butte Creek.

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
