Garrison Lake is a wet spot that gets a lot of rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is commonly the driest month. Garrison Lake is a perfect spot to camp, Agate Beach Trailer Park is a perfect spot, and you can catch a glimpse of Silver Butte from Garrison Lake. Just can't get enough of the Coast Ranges. Shoreline Motel is a tremendous location       to get some rest; there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Grassy Knob Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Camp Blanco RV Park, and getting to Gold Run Creek from Garrison Lake is uncomplicated. Not far from Garrison Lake, you'll stumble on Richman Reservoir which is a lovely lake, also Port Orford is worth checking out if you're here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. If you want to visit some out of the ordinary                  stuff, visit Battle Rock Arch, and while here here do check out nearby Sixes Beach. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Coast Ranges. A day at Agate Beach in the vicinity of Garrison Lake is time well spent; if you need a place to stay Port Orford Inn is a tremendous choice. During your visit to Garrison Lake you'll meet some folks from Brookings for sure. All through the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 60's at Garrison Lake, and the night is fairly cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Garrison Lake are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. There are some fine whitewater spots on Elk River, and why not have a look at Fort Point also since you're here.
