In Oregon there are many beautiful lakes, Gander Lake is one of them. Camping is available at Twin Springs Campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Gander Lake; Cupit Mary Meadow Trail is a good local trail. This lake is so wonderful. These mountains rock, just look at all the fun things to do in the Central Cascade Range. You could also visit Gosling Lakes if you're here at Gander Lake; it's close by; if you come at the right time of year, McKenzie

| | River - South Fork offers some magnificent whitewater.
This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant spree to Waldo Meadows is a glorious way to spend an afternoon; you can never get enough of the delightful skiing at Willamette Pass. Gander Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; throughout December this area sees the most rain while July is frequently the driest month. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Gander Lake. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Cascade Range. Don't leave Gander Lake without first going for a hike
along the Winchester Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Christy Creek. There's fine hiking along the Salmon Creek Trail; a nice nearby hotel is Sleepy Hollow Motel. Throughout the
warm days of summer at Gander Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, commonly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Gander Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
