    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Frying Pan Lake. After a long day outdoors Whispering Woods (Vri) is a nice site to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Skyline Alternate Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Frying Pan Lake. Fir Tree Creek is a splendid location to stop at.
This lake is so wonderful. There's
 
   whitewater on Zigzag River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and the view of beautiful Basin Point is fine. Frying Pan Lake usually gets lots of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is July. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Frying Pan Lake. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Wind Creek Trail; skiing at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl is one  
               of those things you just should do.
Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a great time. Mount Hood Inn is a delightful place to get some rest; Little Crater Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. Frying Pan Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, High Cascade Snowboard Camp is a magnificent place to camp nearby; great skiing awaits you at Timberline Lodge. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back time and again. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Sandy River; swamps like Dry Meadow are fun to pop by.
The warmest time of the year at Frying Pan Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Frying Pan Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Take a hike on the Tom Dick Trail, and you'll meet a lot of people from Hood River here. Do check out Veda Lake near Frying Pan Lake, it's a pretty lake, and Kinzel Lake Campground is a wonderful campground nearby.
