    Frog Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Frog Pond is mostly a pretty dried out place; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most while July is ordinarily the driest month. After a long day outdoors Rimrock Inn is a fine spot to spend a night or two; Imnaha River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby. A perfect place to camp here at Frog Pond is Black Pine Campground.
If you have a thing
 
   about the outdoors, you'll adore Frog Pond. Frog Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Kirkland Campground is a pleasant local campground; going for a hike on the Cook Creek Trail is always a nice adventure. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Snake River, and there are magnificent sites to discover along the Cottonwood Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Frog Pond Butte can be observed  
               from Frog Pond, and Downey Saddle is another good place to check out nearby.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Frog Pond. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Frog Pond. Cold Spring is always fun to check out, and close by you come across the Howard Cutoff Trail which is a good hiking trail.
