Lakes are splendid; Cutout Reservoir is a lake that's near Frog Pond, and Super 8 Lewiston is a pleasant site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Snake River; hiking along the Cottonwood Creek Trail is perfect fun. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Frog Pond. A glorious place to visit close to Frog Pond is Downey Saddle;

Frog Pond is a good place to visit for more than one day, Black Pine Campground is a good place to camp nearby; why not take a refreshing hike along the Howard Cutoff Trail. Imnaha River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go
to close by Berland Reservoir. The warmest time of the year at Frog Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Frog Pond through the winter ordinarily sink into the 20's.
