     Blue Box Pass is a fine place to stop at in close proximity to Frog Lake, and you can hit the slopes at Timberline Lodge in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. The Bonney Meadows Trail is a tremendous hiking trail next to Frog Lake, and don't forget to take a fine little trip to Ghost Creek. Frog Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range.

   outdoors, just come on down to Frog Lake. Bird Butte is a peak you can observe from Frog Lake; on a wonderful day you can have a look at Salmon River Meadows, a swamp in close proximity to Frog Lake. Be careful coming to Frog Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. The smiling people of Hood River like to hang out close by, and there's whitewater on White River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in
 
               the Central Cascade Range. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Mt. Hood Meadows, and a great site to camp here at Frog Lake is Lower Twin Campground. Frog Lake gets a large amount of water; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Going for a hike on the Umbrella Falls Trail is always a splendid adventure, and Mount Hood Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest.
You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the Central Cascade Range. Camping is available at Salmon River Campground, as expected you could also pop by Clear Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Near Frog Lake you come across the Driveway Trail which is a great hiking trail, and dry warm beds await you at Whispering Woods (Vri). Frog Lake is not the only location close by, Twin Lakes is a close by lake, and get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Hood River - Lake Branch.
For the duration of the long summer days, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Frog Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Frog Lake plunge into the 30's.

Have you been to the Bighorn campground site???While this is a beautiful pack-in, primitive site, it doesn't fit with your description. Before camping, take a hike on Nat. Forest Trail 742, without gear. After you've scoped the area, come back and stay. Even on Labor Day Weekend ('06) there were several campsites available in this dispersed camp area....
