     Frog Lake is always a pleasure to visit. And if you're still looking for more outdoors amusing things just keep reading. There's whitewater on White River for all you adrenaline junkies. There's perfect hiking along the Umbrella Falls Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Timberline Lodge since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. At Frog Lake you always meet someone from Hood River, naturally you could also stop at Trillium  
   Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.
Yep, outdoors cool things truly is abundant here in the Central Cascade Range. Swamps like Salmon River Meadows right next door to Frog Lake make for delightful locations to take a look at, and you can go for a hike on the Bonney Meadows Trail. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do near Frog Lake. One of the main marks of the surroundings of Frog Lake is Bird Butte; skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows is one
 
               of those things you just ought to do. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Ghost Creek; Mount Hood Inn is a wonderful spot to get some rest.
If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Frog Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Salmon River Campground is a great spot for that, and don't leave Frog Lake without first going for a hike along the Driveway Trail. Frog Lake is near Blue Box Pass which is certainly worth stopping at. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Frog Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lower Twin Campground. You can run the rapids of Hood River - Lake Branch right next door to Frog Lake, and after a long day outdoors Whispering Woods (Vri) is a brilliant location to spend a night or two.
For the period of the long summer days here at Frog Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Frog Lake are in the 30's. The high level of precipitation makes Frog Lake a pretty wet place; December is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is July. Frog Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range.
