If you are traveling by, why not stop by Frog Lake. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Some close by water includes Austin Creek, and paddling on Clackamas River - Oak Grove Fork is so much fun. If you need a place to stay Whispering Woods (Vri) is a nice choice, and a beautiful lake like Timber Lake is a glorious location to stop at. Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a glorious time.

| | Don't leave Frog Lake without first going for a hike along the Dry Ridge Trail; Austin Meadow is an exciting swamp near Frog Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Resort at the Mountain is a perfect site to spend a night or two; you'll stumble on a pretty lake called Serene Lake. and brilliant hiking is available along the Bagby Trail. Much rain falls at Frog Lake; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; July is when it's the driest.
