This is a tremendous neighborhood for people who like lakes. Wilkes Reservoir is a lake in the neighborhood,       and Lower Shellburg Falls is a good local attraction. Through the summertime at Freres Log Ponds temperatures are generally in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Freres Log Ponds temperatures drop to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Taylor Park is a nice spot to do that, and you can run the rapids of Santiam                  River - Little North. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Central Cascade Range. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Sublimity, and going for a hike on the Snow Peak Mill City Trail is always a good adventure. Freres Log Ponds is located in the Central Cascade Range. Freres Log Ponds sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls through December, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful.
