A cool spot to pop by right next door to Francis Lake is Marble Point, and going for a hike on the Bowman Trail is always a fine adventure. Francis Lake is frequently a relatively dried up site; the wettest month of the year is commonly December, that's the one that snows the most, and July is the month with the least moisture. Francis Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wallowa Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. This is a delightful region for people who like lakes.
