Metolius River has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you can never get enough of the brilliant skiing at Hoodoo. Camping is available at Lemiti Campground, and at Francis Lake you can make out Rock Cone. This location, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing things. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Marion Creek, and a splendid place to camp here at Francis       Lake is Trout Lake Campground. Francis Lake generally gets a large amount of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain; July is when it's the driest. All the outdoors entertaining stuff near Francis Lake will keep you coming back many times. A lake close by is Lost Lake, and close by you locate the Blue Lake Camas Prairie Trail which is a nice hiking trail. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Suttle Lake, and going for a hike on the Pacific                  Crest Trail - section 22 is always a fine adventure. Throughout the summertime months, highs regularly are in the 70's at Francis Lake; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Francis Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Francis Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Cascade Range. So many entertaining things to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. If you get bored of Francis Lake, you could also have a look at close by Lake Sarah, and you can go for a hike on the Jefferson Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
