Just can't get enough of the Wallowa Mountains. Fish Lake Dam is a beautiful location in the vicinity of Lake Frances, and do take a hike on the Kettle Creek Trail. Best Western Rama Inn & Suites is a perfect spot to get some rest, and if you get bored of Lake Frances you could also go to nearby Warm Lake. During the summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Lake Frances; through summer       nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Lake Frances. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Russel Mountain is easily observed from Lake Frances, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Rock Creek. Lake Frances gets very little rain; December is when you get the most snow here, and July is when it's the driest. And that's not all there is to                  do here in the Wallowa Mountains. Lake Frances is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Wallowa Lake State Park is a magnificent local campground; Imnaha Falls is a delightful site to have a look at while you're at Lake Frances. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. There's so much to do here at Lake Frances that you need to camp here for a while, Scenic Meadows RV Park is a glorious location for that; hiking along the Martin Bridge Trail is magnificent fun. A lake close by is Fish Lake, and Moody Basin is a splendid place to take a look at.
