This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Coast Ranges. The Lower River Trail is a tremendous hiking trail next to Foster Pond. Foster Pond is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Agness RV       Park since you're here at Foster Pond, and Coquille River - South Fork is a fine whitewater spot close by. High temperatures at Foster Pond through the summer are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's while Foster Pond nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. If you get bored of Foster Pond, you could also pop by close by Southard Lake, and nearby you hit upon the Bear Camp Trail which is a                  pleasant hiking trail. A nice place to camp here at Foster Pond is McCurdy Campground, and on a delightful day you get a wonderful vista of Brushy Mountain from Foster Pond. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Coast Ranges. During your journey to Foster Pond you'll meet some people from Brookings for sure, and if you need a place to stay Singing Springs Ranch is a perfect choice. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the area close to Foster Pond has to offer.
