This lake is so wonderful. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Blue Mountains. Spur Butte is picturesque and can be made out from Fort Reservoir; Fort Reservoir is right by the Dry Cabin Creek Trail. Fort Reservoir is located in the Blue Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Pine Tree Campground is a pleasant campground here, and dry warm beds await you at Fish House Inn. Why not take a refreshing       hike along the Black Canyon Trail, and why not a little side spree to Cougar Creek. Around Fort Reservoir you don’t get a lot of precipitation; November is the month that gets the most rain, and September meanwhile is the driest month. At Fort Reservoir during the warm months highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Fort Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through                  winter nights. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Mountains. It's always glorious to check out Buck Spring; lakes are such serene places, why not stop by Coyote Reservoir. A visit to Cinnabar Flat revitalizes the soul, and do pay a visit to John Day Fossil Beds National Monument while you're here at Fort Reservoir. What a place this is for outdoors folks.
