Flashboard Reservoir is a wet place that gets a good deal of precipitation; throughout the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Flashboard Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Old Baldy Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Central Cascade Range. Go for a hike on the Fanton Plaza Trail; Firwood Veneer Corporation Dam is a place that is close to Flashboard Reservoir. All year is a good time in the Central Cascade Range if you go for the outdoors. Stay the night at Bigfoot Lodge and Trailer Court, and going for a hike on the Eagle Creek Cutoff is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Flashboard Reservoir is not the only place nearby, Fleshman Reservoirs is a nearby lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Flashboard Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Armstrong - Mount Hood National Forest.
