Lava Beds National Monument is a very good site to explore in the vicinity of Fivemile Reservoir, and a fine close by hotel is Majestic Inn and Suites. All through the warmest time of the year here at Fivemile Reservoir, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter       nights come with lows in the 20's to Fivemile Reservoir. Not much rain falls here at Fivemile Reservoir; December is the wettest month with most snow, and July is when it's the driest.
