There's no way someone can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. Twin Peaks is easy to spot from First Lake; First Lake is right by the Cub Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Fish Lake Trail is nice fun, and if you came for an overnight stay Trout Lake Campground is a good place to camp. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to First Lake, and the overnight       is rather chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at First Lake are in the 30's. Going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 22 will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Collawash River. First Lake is a wet place that gets much rain; during December this area sees the most rain, and July is the month                  with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. On a wonderful day you can go to Cornpatch Meadow, a swamp near First Lake, and camping is available at Lemiti Campground. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do in close proximity to First Lake. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Hoodoo since you're here, and if you've had enough of First Lake, Head Lake is close by. First Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range. So many entertaining things to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time.
