This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Firecamp Lakes, you could also check out close by Claggett Lake, and Bear Point is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Firecamp Lakes. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Central Cascade Range. If you come at the right time of year, Marion Creek offers some splendid whitewater, and the South Breitenbush Trail offers hiking

| | at its best. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Collawash River; the snow is great at Hoodoo. Firecamp Lakes is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Trout Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground, and Crown Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. delightful hiking along the Roaring Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Lodge at Suttle Lake. Lots of precipitation falls at Firecamp Lakes; during the month of December you get the most rain around
here, and the driest month is July. Summer at Firecamp Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with
lows in the 30's to Firecamp Lakes. So many exciting things in the Central Cascade Range, just astonishing. There's some flowing water close by, Crag Creek is a stream you can go to while you're here, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Firecamp Lakes; Jefferson Park Trail is a tremendous local trail.

Pacific Crest Trail - section 22
 | Roundtrip Distance 13.7 miles Elevation Gain 2,348 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking.
