But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Coast Ranges. Camping is available at Washington County Fair Grounds, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Hillsboro. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Sunset Grove Golf Course is in the neighborhood. Lakes are tremendous; Heesacker Reservoir is a lake that's in the neighborhood       of Feathered Friend Pond. A good place to camp here at Feathered Friend Pond is Horning's Fishing & Picnic; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Pecks Pond. Feathered Friend Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly December, that's the one that rains the most, and July on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Feathered Friend Pond usually tend to be in the 80's. Once                  the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Feathered Friend Pond. Feathered Friend Pond is located in the Coast Ranges. Take a side spree to Alexander Creek, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rock Creek. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Coast Ranges. This lake is so wonderful.
