Beautiful Fay Lake has much to offer visitors. While you're here at Fay Lake you can take a hike along the Duffy Lake Trail; you'll hit upon a picturesque lake called Fir Lake. Fay Lake is a wet spot that gets a lot of rain; during December this area sees the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.

| | location to do that, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Big Meadows is right nearby. Going for a hike along the Turpentine Peak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and what would winter be without some skiing at Hoodoo. Man, is there loads of exciting things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Camp Creek is a splendid location to check out, and after a long day outdoors Detroit Motel is a fine place to spend a night or two.

You completely have to love the Central Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Fay Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tombstone Prairie Campground is a great spot for that, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots
on Santiam River - North. You truly should go for Fay Lake. If the weather is pleasant here at Fay Lake, you can go for a hike along the Lava Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Marion Creek. The warmest time of the year brings
highs in the 70's to Fay Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Fay Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay All Season's Motel is a good choice.
