Oregon has many beautiful lakes and Fawn Lake is one of them. The high level of rain makes Fawn Lake a rather wet place; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not enough there's lots more entertaining things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Fawn Lake; Fawn Lake Trail is a delightful local
trail, and the view of Redtop Mountain is lovely.
Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Central Cascade Range. A good site to camp here at Fawn Lake is Shelter Cove Resort. This is a great region for folks who like lakes. Pretty Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and Crater Lake National Park is a perfect national park. There's great hiking along the Pretty Lake Trail, and why not camp at Lake Lucile Campground

since you're here at Fawn Lake.
During the months of summer highs here at Fawn Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Fawn Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. So many cool things in the vicinity of Fawn Lake, definitely mind-blowing. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Willamette Pass since you're here, and the Crater Butte Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are good; Stag Lake is a lake that's near Fawn Lake, and some of the water close by flows, like Wharf Creek.

Davis Lake
12 miles away
This website needs updating. I was there on Aug. 2nd,3rd, and 4th 2007. There are a LOT of bass there. We saw NO trout at all, and no one we talked to had caught or seen one. I was there with 2 others for bass fishing. there is no camping at the west boat launch area. Day use only. There are 2 camp sites on the east side. The Lava Flow site is closed, and has been for some time. There is a primative site there. No water or elec. and very primative boat launching area. You have to pole or row through the tules to get out on the lake. The old campground is closed because of Eagles nest there. Eagles are no longer on the endangerd spieces list. Why not re-open that area. it has a great boat ramp. Bass fishing was great, but not many large fish when we were there. Lots of smaller bass. We were told it was real good in late June and first half of July. We will try again next year....

Little Cultus Lake
16 miles away
One of the best of the best small lakes i have fished, out of bend ore. Great family lake....

Winopee Lake
19 miles away
Went to Winopee lake this weekend...it was a little dissapointing because the lake is about 45% covered with reeds and lilly pads. The Eastern shore is the only one you can accesst the water without having to wade through reeds. There is quite a few algae blooms so swimming isn't an option. Overall, the view was nice but not spectacular. There are three decent campsites at the lake, popular with horse camps. The best of the three sites is the one on the Eastern bank, take the first trail you come accross before reaching the junction for sno-shoe lake. The second and third campsites are on the West bank and are a little harder to find...head for the clifs and you are there....

North Twin Lake
19 miles away
Twin lakes are great. Beautifully serene and one of the best beaches in central Oregon as north twin....
