A fine place to camp here at Eureka Pond is Shadow Falls Campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Umpqua River - South offers some perfect whitewater. Eureka Pond ordinarily gets much precipitation; all through November this area sees the most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range.       Throughout the days of summer highs here at Eureka Pond get into the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while Eureka Pond overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's.
