The summit of Georges Knob can be observed from Ernests Pond, and after a long day outdoors Village Inn is a magnificent place to spend                  a night or two. Ernests Pond is a pretty wet place frequently with a good deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during November; July is when it's the driest. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Central Cascade Range has to offer. While you're here at Ernests Pond you can take a hike along the Michigan Heights Trail. There's so much to do here at Ernests Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Holiday Mobile Park is a perfect place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Calapooia River, and Ernests Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Sunnyside County Park is a great local campground.
