If you like lakes and you're in this part of Oregon you can check out Empire Lakes. Bastendorff Beach is next to Empire Lakes and is a scenic beach to pop by; during your journey here you'll meet some folks from Coos Bay for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Jordan Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore; Kelley's RV Park is a tremendous campground here. These mountains rock, just look at all the fun things to do in the Coast Ranges. While you're here at Empire Lakes you can play some golf at Kentuck Golf Course; a magnificent close by hotel is Red Lion Hotel Coos Bay. So much fun stuff to do at Empire Lakes, so little time. On a beautiful day you can take a look at North Beach close to Empire Lakes, and if you came for
an overnight stay Arbe's RV Park is a nice place to camp. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Coast Ranges. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn North Bend is a great choice; do go to Middle Empire
Lake Dam if you're here. A pleasant spot for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Empire Lakes is Millicoma River - West Fork, and why not a little side trip to Chickses Creek.
This lake is located in the wonderful Coast
Ranges. Hiking along the Threemile Lake Trail is magnificent fun, and nearby you come across Jordan Cove. High temperatures at Empire Lakes during the summertime months are in the 60's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the
50's. All through the winter highs are commonly in the 50's while Empire Lakes night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 30's.
