Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Emil Creek Reservoir, and the overnight is rather cooler of course, typically in the 50's. | | a little side trip, try Hutson Gulch, and if you come at the right time of year, Hood River - East Fork offers some magnificent whitewater. All the water falling down from the sky makes Emil Creek Reservoir a wet place; the wettest month of the year is commonly December, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest.

Spur Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mt. Hood Meadows. There are good spots to look at along the Dog River Trail. So many enjoyable things to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time.
Go for a hike on the Zigzag Trail, and folks from Hood River love to come here.
But wait, there's more to do close to Emil Creek Reservoir. Hit the slopes at Cooper Spur in the neighborhood; there are some great whitewater spots
on Hood River - West Fork. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Emil Creek Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Clinger Campground is a magnificent spot for that; don't leave Emil Creek Reservoir without
first paying a visit to Parkdale Cold Spring. Emil Creek Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range.

more than a day to explore everything Emil Creek Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Dufur Valley Farms. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Hood River, and some of the water nearby flows, like Alder Creek.
