There are some nice whitewater spots on Mill Creek; after a long day outdoors Best Western Dallas Inn & Suites is a good spot to spend a night or two. There's some interesting stuff to see at Joe Crow Dam right next door to Emerson Reservoir; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby De Jong Reservoir. These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing stuff       to do in the Coast Ranges. If you came for an overnight stay Ash Creek Mobile Park is a good place to camp, and Cross Creek Golf Course is a great golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Sheridan Country Inn is a great site to get some rest, and camping is available at Mulkey RV Park. Emerson Reservoir gets a great deal of water; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is July. Just can't get enough of                  Emerson Reservoir. This lake is located in the wonderful Coast Ranges. Summertime highs at Emerson Reservoir typically tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's.
