Why not stop by Elkhorn Lake if you're passing through these parts. Whitewater paddling is good on Elkhorn Creek, and close by you stumble on the Nohorn Trail which is a great hiking trail. You get a great panorama of Elkhorn Mountain from Elkhorn Lake, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Baty Silver King Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Big Cliff Reservoir is next to Elkhorn Lake, and why not camp at Cascade Sports Camp if you're here at Elkhorn Lake. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. Paddling on Santiam River - North is so much fun, and the Rocky Top Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Elkhorn Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Cascade Range.
