This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Blue Mountains. It's always great to go to Blue Pot Spring; close by you stumble on the Coffeepot Trail which is a great hiking trail. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more exciting things to do in the Blue Mountains. There's so much to do here at Elk Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Fish House Inn is a tremendous       place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Fish House Inn, and the Black Canyon Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. At Elk Reservoir throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat chillier of course, regularly in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Elk Reservoir. Don't forget to take a magnificent little trip to Basin Creek; lakes are                  such calm sites, why not have a look at Art Reservoir. It is very waterless here at Elk Reservoir commonly; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily November, that's the one that rains the most while September is ordinarily the driest month. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Elk Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Pine Tree Campground, and John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is one of the destinations that are good to explore nearby. What a place this is for outdoors people.
