The beauty of Elk Lake is reason enough to stop by. Elk Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Cascade Range. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. If you came for an overnight stay Upper Campground is a great location to camp, and skiing at Hoodoo is one of those things you just must do. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Quinn Creek if you're here at Elk Lake, and a visit to Elk Lake Springs will fill your spirit with great feelings.

| | scenery and nice skiing is what you get at Mt. Bachelor, and you need to have a look at Red Crater if you're here. All year is a magnificent time in the Central Cascade Range if you go for the outdoors. There's whitewater on Squaw Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and not far from Elk Lake you'll hit upon Blow Lake which is a stunning lake. Elk Lake gets much water; the month with most of the rain is December; the driest of the months is July.

the summertime highs here at Elk Lake reach the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Elk Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the
cool stuff in the Central Cascade Range. Why not camp at East Lake Resort and RV Parks while you're here at Elk Lake, and do take a hike on the Mirror Lake Trail.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Sunset Lake Trail, and
on a delightful day you get a magnificent view of Elk Mountain from Elk Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Elk Lake; Six Lakes Trail is a great local trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Deschutes River.
