Elk Creek Reservoir is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Bear Mountain RV Park is a splendid place to camp nearby; get dripping wet paddling on Big Butte Creek. So many cool things in the Southern Cascade Range, just remarkable. Stay the night at West Fork Trail Creek Mill, obviously you could also stop by Elk Creek Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. From Elk Creek                  Reservoir you acquire a nice view of Tatouche Peak, and unsurprisingly Alco Creek is a charming stream that is worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. There are splendid locations to look at along the Rattlesnake Trail, and there are plenty of people from Medford here. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Elk Creek Reservoir. If you're into cool geologic marks, try Yellow Rock; get yourself into a kayak and hit Rogue River - North Fork. For the period of the warm months highs here at Elk Creek Reservoir reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 40's, and night lows during the wintertime for Elk Creek Reservoir tend to be in the 30's.
