All the outdoors cool stuff in the Southern Cascade Range will keep you coming back time and again. Visit Berry Creek if you're here at Elk Creek Lake, and close by you come across the Alco Trail which is a fine hiking trail. Throughout the months of summer at Elk Creek Lake highs are generally in the 90's while night lows are generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Elk Creek       Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. Man, is there a lot of exciting stuff to do near Elk Creek Lake. Lakes are glorious; Elk Creek Reservoir is a lake that's next to Elk Creek Lake. Stay the night at Bear Mountain RV Park, and going for a hike on the Rogue-Umpqua Divide Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. A short trip to Berrian Spring is always worthwhile, and not far from Elk Creek Lake you'll come across                  Indian Lake Reservoir which is a pretty lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Southern Cascade Range. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Jackson Creek; Berry Rock is something you shouldn't miss since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. There's some exciting stuff to see at Elk Creek Dam in close proximity to Elk Creek Lake; if you come at the right time of year, Big Butte Creek offers some fine whitewater. If you're stopping by Elk Creek Lake from Medford, you won't be the only one, and if you need a spot to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites White City is a great choice. Courtyard Medford Airport is a perfect place to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Elk Creek Lake has to offer, you can camp at Shady Trails RV Park and Campground. Elk Creek Lake is pretty arid ordinarily; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place.
