In Oregon there are many beautiful lakes, Elephant Lake is one of them. A journey to Crystal Basin rejuvenates the spirit, and if you came for an overnight stay Slim Chance Campground is a great location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Interesting geology is available here; Judson Rock is near Elephant Lake, and Best Western Oakridge Inn is a good place to get some rest. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. | | local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Canton Creek Trail, and of course Cat Creek flows through this area. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Elephant Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Elephant Lake. generally the driest month. This place is so good, just explore all the exciting things to do near Elephant Lake. Smith Falls is an inspiring place to stop by while you're here; going for a hike on the Mayflower Trail is always a
pleasant adventure. So many amusing things in the Central Cascade Range, just phenomenal. After a long day outdoors Moonstone Village Green Resort is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and Bohemia Mountain is clearly visible
from Elephant Lake. A glorious place for whitewater paddling close to Elephant Lake is Champion Creek, and you could always explore Bohemia Saddle. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Central Cascade Range.
Brice Creek is a great whitewater spot in the vicinity of Elephant Lake, and nearby you locate the Steamboat Trail which is a delightful hiking trail.
